Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most: Celebrating National Health Center Week 2026 with HCPSC
Every August, community health centers across the nation come together for National Health Center Week (NHCW)—an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC).
NHCW is a time to highlight the dedication, passion, and resilience of Community Health Centers (CHCs) nationwide. Today, over 1,500 CHCs serve standard-setting, high-quality healthcare to 52 million patients across 17,000+ communities. At Health Care Partners of South Carolina (HCPSC), we are proud to stand as part of this vital safety net, delivering compassionate, affordable care to our neighbors regardless of their ability to pay.
This Year’s Theme: Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most
The 2026 national theme—”Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most”—focuses on how health centers use creativity, community partnerships, and commitment to reach patients right where they are. Whether it’s bringing specialized services directly to rural locations or teaming up with local businesses to support patient needs, HCPSC is constantly striving to expand access and improve healthcare outcomes across our region.
Here’s How We’re Celebrating at HCPSC (August 2–8, 2026)
We have an exciting lineup of events and initiatives planned across our centers and out in the community all week long. Here is what you can look forward to!
All Week Long (August 3 – 8)
- Back-to-School Drive (All Locations): Help local students and families start the school year ready to thrive! We are collecting school supplies, hygiene products, and wellness essentials. Drop off your donation items at any HCPSC location throughout the week.
- Chalk the Walk (All Locations): Calling all pediatric patients! Help us brighten our sidewalks with your artistic flair. Kids are invited to draw what health and community mean to them right outside our centers. We provide the chalk—you bring the creativity!
Tuesday, August 4 – Patient Appreciation Day
- Hydration Stations & Snacks (All Locations): Our patients are the heart of what we do. To show our gratitude, stop by our hydration station for a cold drink and a snack when you check in for your appointment!
Friday, August 7 – Partner & Board Appreciation Day
- “Health with Heart” Drink Fundraiser at Conway Nutrition: We are honoring our partners and our dedicated Board of Directors! Head over to Conway Nutrition (1223 16th Ave) and order the featured “Health with Heart” drink. A portion of proceeds from every drink sold will directly benefit the HCPSC Patient Care Fund, helping local patients access the care they need.
Saturday, August 8 – Gratitude & Future Vision
- Catch Our CEO on 98.5 Kiss FM at 9:00 AM! Tune into the Soundoff Radio Show and Podcast on Saturday morning to hear our very own CEO, Santina Mayo, reflect on a wonderful week of community impact, express gratitude to our supporters, and share exciting future visions for HCPSC—including updates on our 4th Avenue project!
